REMORA - short film - Dir. david schofield

Behind the faded grandeur of a seaside resort, the vulnerable and poor become prey for local predators. Whilst working for a petty loan shark, Leighton is unwittingly chaperoned for the day by his older brother Cass, a gentle man with learning difficulties. Tasked with minding Cheryl, a debtor, Leighton leads the trio to a childhood haunt, the aquarium. In the tranquility of blue, brothers share memories of their late mother and happier times. Doubting his role in Cheryl’s fate and reluctance as an enforcer, Leighton seeks a kinder resolution offering to clear the debt. But when the offer is refused, Leighton must bite back. https://www.remorafilm.co.uk Directors Notes interview http://directorsnotes.com/2018/03/16/david-schofield-remora/ Leighton - Josh Casswell Cass - Matthew Mellalieu Cheryl - Charlotte Rhodes Eric - Luke McGibney Franny - Richard Crehan Director: David Schofield Writers: Alan Seiglow & David Schofield Producer: Emily Axon Producer: Joseph Moan Executive Producer: David Birchall Director of Photography: Adrian Peckitt Production Design: Antony Wright Lisa Westwell Costume Designer: Nicky Rybka-Goldsmith Make up: Sian-Louise Auld Music Composer: William Morris Editor: Bledar Bujupi Sound Design: Nick Netsall Creative England Senior Film Executive: Development & Production: Paul Ashton Development & Production Executive: Jessica Loveland Junior Development & Production Executive: Alice Ramsey Finance Officers: Lauren Summers Supporting Cast Debtor: David McLaughlin Caravan Park Resident: Dave Pollitt Eric's Gang: Thomas Egan James Neville William Huw Club DJ: Spencer Wilding Casting Directors: Chris Maloney Lee Mountjoy Crew First Assistant Director: Sarah-Jane Jones Third Assistant Director: Jasmine Ballard Production Assistant: Craig McLaughlin 1st Assistant Camera: Matt French 1st Assistant Camera - Chase Sequence: Gary Long Clapper Loaders: Owen Cant Samrat Bala DIT: Greg Holt Gaffer: Jordan Dubash Spark: Seb Barnett Lighting Technicians: Michael Bonnar Turbid Erdenetsogt Assistant Art Director: Tosh Gooding Props Dresser: Rick Pannone Sound Recordists: Mike Mullen Juan Manzed Lead Make up Artist: Eve Jenkins Runner/On set Stills: Ruth Jones Runner: Jessica O'Shaughnessy EPK: Paul Cooper Gordan Jackson Colourist: Nick Dalby Colour Post Producer: Kevin Doherty Online: Adam Stokes Charlie Watts Edit Assistants: Connor Elliot Faisal Muhammed Music Recording: Chris Taylor Musicians: Alice Billen Helen Charlesworth Dewi Tudor Jones David Hornburger Catering: The bod Erw Facilities: The mob Film Co Bark & Bite Unit No Drama PKE Lighting ICE Film IMS Film & Media Insurance Made with the support of Creative England via the BFI.Network.
